The Akari 23N is among the wave of new Akari light sculptures that Isamu Noguchi designed in the late 1960s. It features mulberry bark washi paper, widely-spaced bamboo ribbing, and a distinctive form that transitions from a rounded shape to a smaller open circle. It is set on four metal legs.
