Akari UF3-Q

The Akari UF3-Q pairs one of Isamu Noguchi's final additions to the Akari light sculpture series, the UF ("unit/frame") stand, with a distinctive shade he designed concurrently. Its form, resembling a combination of triangular antiprism and truncated pyramid, features large screenprinted black circles on six of its faces. The lack of bamboo ribbing (higo) and collapsible construction also creates complex textures on the surface of the form, which is set on three angled metal legs and secured with black cotton ties.
