Noguchi Coffee Table
Designed c. 1944
The Coffee Table (IN-50), designed by Isamu Noguchi, is considered an icon of 20th century design, deftly blurring the line between art and function. Its sculptural form consists of two wooden legs that interlock, a feature found in many of Noguchi’s sculptures of the 1940s. A rounded triangular piece of glass rests simply on top. Herman Miller has produced the table since 1947.
