Akari 9AD Print

Designed c. 1954
The Akari 9AD Print shows a design that Isamu Noguchi created for the Akari 9AD, a variation of one of his first Akari light sculptures, the 9A (c. 1951). Created by Ozeki & Co., the producer of Akari, the print features screenprinted blue ink, over mulberry bark washi paper (the same paper used to make Akari), as well as Noguchi’s signature and the Akari logo, a sun/crescent moon.
